Rotecna designs a new model of traction machine

Rotecna has designed a new model of traction machine for longer chain drag feeding systems.

The greater travel of the tensioner pulley can absorb higher starting stresses, which combined with a reducer with 20% less rpm and more torque, allow longer systems to be made. In addition, the double-acting and interlocked pulley sensor protects the machine from both overvoltage and chain slackness and is very accessible to facilitate inspection and maintenance.

The finishes of the machine and gear motor, and the internal chain tension system, improve tightness and reduce the space required for its installation.

The new Rotecna traction machines have a traction pulley with a fuse on the shaft and independent synthetic cogs with a damping system, which increases the safety of the installation in case of jams, and extend the life of the traction chain by reducing stress and wear of the plastic dowels.
